can i use any Cable Wire to connect my modem into the wall?

i just moved the computer into my room, and i don’t like where it is sitting in my room, i wanna move it to the other side, but the black wire connecting from the modem to the cable outlet is too short, i have a long white wire but is it safe to use any cable wire on a modem?

Yes, using different cables are fine as long as it is the correct cable. Some may look alike at the connector but the wires are actually connected to different pins in the connector or they have more or a less amount of wires in them.
